DISTRICT SYSTEM WITHIN UNIFIED COURT SYSTEM (§ 16.1-69.30)

The district court system shall be within the unified court system of the
Commonwealth subordinate to the Supreme Court and subject to the administrative
supervision of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
