The penalty of the bond of a sheriff shall be $ 30,000. The bond of the clerk of a circuit court shall not be less than $ 3,000 and the bond of such clerk shall bind him and his sureties, not only for the faithful discharge of his duties as clerk of the court, but also for the faithful discharge of such other duties as may be imposed upon him by law in like manner or by order of the court and with the same effect as if it were so expressed in the conditions of his bond. The bond of the commissioner of the revenue shall not be less than $ 1,000 nor more than $ 3,000.section
