INTERIM RECEIPTS OR TEMPORARY BONDS EXCHANGEABLE FOR DEFINITIVE BONDS (§
15.2-2616)

Before the preparation of definitive bonds, the governing body of a locality
may, subject to the same provisions of this chapter as are applicable to the
issuance of definitive bonds, issue interim receipts or temporary bonds,
exchangeable for definitive bonds when such bonds have been executed and are
available for delivery.
