CODE OF VIRGINIA

LOCAL NOTIFICATIONS (§ 15.2-925.1)

Any locality may by ordinance establish a system to deliver notifications to
residents by email, phone, text message or other similar means of communication.
Such ordinance shall be adopted only after a public hearing and shall contain an
opt-in provision for non-emergency notifications.
