CODE OF VIRGINIA

COMMISSION ON CERTAIN LOCAL COLLECTIONS NOT OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR (§ 17.1-289)

The clerk of every circuit court shall be entitled to a commission of five
percent on local collections received by the clerk on which a commission is not
otherwise provided for by law. The commissions shall be deducted by the clerk
before the collections are paid into the county, town or city treasury.
