CODE OF VIRGINIA

NUMBER OF MAGISTRATES (§ 19.2-34)

There shall be appointed as many magistrates as are necessary for the effective
administration of justice. The positions of all employees of the magistrate
system shall be authorized by the Committee on District Courts established
pursuant to § 16.1-69.33.
