CODE OF VIRGINIA (REPEALED EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2016) REGISTER OF STATE PROPERTY (§ 23-4) The chief officer of every state institution shall keep a book in which he shall cause to be registered all the property of the Commonwealth at such institution, with a correct description thereof, for the information of the board of visitors, and others interested.
