TIME AND FREQUENCY OF REFERENDA ON ELECTION AND TERM OF SUPERVISORS (§
24.2-221)

A referendum as provided in § 24.2-219 or § 24.2-220 shall be held only in the
year preceding the year in which a general election for supervisors is to be
held.  Once a referendum on either question is held, no further referendum on
either question may be held in the county for a period of four years.
