CODE OF VIRGINIA ENTRY OF BUILDINGS ON FIRE AND PREMISES ADJOINING (§ 27-17) The chief of any fire department or fire company or other authorized officer in command at a fire or medical emergency, and his subordinates, upon his order or direction, shall have the right at any time of the day or night to enter any building or upon any premises where a fire is in progress, or any building or premises adjacent thereto for the purpose of extinguishing the fire.
