AVAILABILITY OF MAN-TRIPS (§ 45.1-161.149)

The operator or his agent shall maintain a man-trip or other equipment suitable
for providing reasonable access within a reasonable time to areas of the mine
where miners are working and where transportation is ordinarily provided. The
suitability of the equipment, and the reasonableness of the time required to
reach such areas of the mine, shall be determined by the Chief.
