The following certifications shall be issued by the Board, and a person holding such certification shall be authorized to perform the tasks which this Act or any regulation promulgated by the Board or by the Department requires to be performed by such a certified person:sectionAA1 First class mine foreman;sectionA1A12 First class shaft or slope foreman;sectionA2A22 Surface foreman;sectionA3A32 Preparation plant foreman;sectionA4A42 Electrical maintenance foreman;sectionA5A52 Dock foreman;sectionA6A62 Underground shot firer;sectionA8A82 Surface blaster;sectionA9A92 Hoisting engineer;sectionA10A102 Electrical repairman;sectionA11A112 Automatic elevator operator;sectionA12A122 Mine inspector;sectionA13A132 Qualified gas detector;sectionA14A142 Diesel engine mechanic;sectionA15A152 Diesel engine mechanic instructor;sectionA16A162 First aid instructor;sectionA17A172 Advanced first aid;sectionA18A182 Chief electrician; andsectionA19A192 General coal miner.sectionA20A202Certification shall also be required for such additional tasks as the Board may require by regulation.sectionBB1The Board shall have the power to promulgate regulations necessary or incidental to the performance of duties or execution of powers conferred under this title, which regulations shall be promulgated in accordance with the provisions of Article 2 (§ 2.2-4006 et seq.) of the Administrative Process Act.sectionCC1The Board is authorized to promulgate regulations establishing guidelines for on-site examinations of mine foremen conducted by mine inspectors pursuant to § 45.1-161.35.sectionDD1
