INJUNCTION PROHIBITING MINING OPERATION (§ 45.1-193.1)

Whenever adverse ecological disruptions or the injurious effects thereof
seriously threaten or endanger the health, safety, welfare and property rights
of citizens of Virginia, and abatement is not feasible by the application of
control techniques, the Director shall petition the appropriate circuit court
for an injunction to prohibit further operations. Such injunction shall not
relieve the operator from his duty to reclaim lands previously affected
according to the terms and conditions of this permit.
