CODE OF VIRGINIA

POWERS VESTED IN GOVERNOR (§ 53.1-229)

In accordance with the provisions of Article V, Section 12 of the Constitution
of Virginia, the power to commute capital punishment and to grant pardons or
reprieves is vested in the Governor.
