VIOLENT SEX OFFENDERS PROHIBITED FROM ADOPTING A CHILD (§ 63.2-1205.1)

No petition for adoption shall be granted if the person seeking to adopt has
been convicted of a sexually violent offense or an offense requiring
registration pursuant to § 9.1-902.
