CODE OF VIRGINIA

SUPERINTENDENTS AND AGENTS OF FACILITIES TO HAVE POWERS OF SHERIFF (§ 66-21)

The superintendents of the facilities established by the Department pursuant to
§ 66-13 and their authorized agents shall have the powers of a sheriff for the
purpose of preserving order at their facilities and for the conveyance of
children committed to their care to and from such facilities.
