						<section><p>A <span class="dictionary">manufacturer</span>, <span class="dictionary">manufacturer</span>&#x2019;s designee, or retailer of <span class="dictionary">computer equipment</span> is not liable in any way for information in any form that a <span class="dictionary">consumer</span> leaves on <span class="dictionary">computer equipment</span> that is collected, recycled, or reused under this article, provided that the <span class="dictionary">manufacturer</span>&#x2019;s website (i) conspicuously states such disclaimer of liability and (ii) provides detailed information regarding how a <span class="dictionary">consumer</span> may erase such information from the <span class="dictionary">computer equipment</span> or protect information that the <span class="dictionary">consumer</span> leaves on such <span class="dictionary">computer equipment</span> from disclosure. This article does not exempt a <span class="dictionary">person</span> from potential liability under other federal or state <span class="dictionary">law</span>.</p></section></text><history>2008, c. 541.</history><metadata></metadata></law>
