Railroad Crossings

This is Article 9 of the Code of Virginia, titled “Railroad Crossings.” It is part of Chapter 8 “Regulation of Traffic”, which is part of Subtitle III “Operation”, which is part of Title 46.2 “Motor Vehicles”.

It’s comprised of the following 4 sections.

§ 46.2-884 Railroad warning signals must be obeyed
§ 46.2-885 When vehicles to stop at railroad grade crossings
§ 46.2-886 When drivers of certain vehicles to stop, look, and listen at railroad crossings; crossing tracks without shifting gears
§ 46.2-887 Moving crawler-type tractors, steam shovels, derricks, rollers, etc., over railroad grade crossings
