§ 56-528 Governor’s powers as commander in chief not impaired
Nothing in this chapter shall be considered or construed as in any way questioning or impairing the constitutional or statutory powers of the Governor as commander in chief of the land and naval forces of the Commonwealth.
History
This law was first created in 1952. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 696 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1952 “Acts” aren’t available online.
