§ 59.1-340 Statute of limitations
An action for misappropriation shall be brought within three years after the misappropriation is discovered or by the exercise of reasonable diligence should have been discovered. For the purposes of this section, a continuing misappropriation constitutes a single claim.
History
This law was first created in 1986. The record of its establishment is cataloged in chapter 210 of that year’s edition of “Acts of Assembly,” the annual state publication listing all changes made to the Code of Virginia in that year. Unfortunately, the 1986 “Acts” aren’t available online.
