This is Article 3 of the Code of Virginia, titled “When There Are Several Defendants.” It is part of Chapter 17 “Judgments and Decrees Generally”, which is part of Title 8.01 “Civil Remedies and Procedure”.

It’s comprised of the following 3 sections.

§ 8.01-442 In joint actions on contract plaintiff, though barred as to some, may have judgment against others
§ 8.01-443 Joint wrongdoers; effect of judgment against one
§ 8.01-444 Where new parties added; if some not liable, how judgment entered
